Coenzyme Q10: Fueling Your Heart at the Cellular Level

What Is CoQ10?

CoQ10 is a naturally occurring compound found in nearly every cell of the body, with especially high concentrations in energy-demanding organs like the heart. Its primary role is to support the mitochondria or the “power plants” of our cells, where energy (ATP) is produced.

In addition to its role in energy production, CoQ10 also functions as a potent antioxidant, helping protect cells from oxidative stress and inflammation, both of which are major contributors to cardiovascular disease.
